It seems to me like they probably paid a lot for the voice actor so they had her comment on absolutely everything so they'd get their money's worth. Lara is such a bore and hearing her yap on about 'muh father's research' got old halfway through the 2013 game. Featuring high-octane action set in the most beautiful and hostile environments on earth, Rise of the Tomb Raider delivers cinematic survival action-adventure. If the story was good I wouldn't mind too much but it isn't, I hate the writing and the characters in these new Tomb Raiders. Join Lara Croft on her first great tomb raiding expedition as she seeks to discover the secret of immortality. Okay I know it's not always that bad but it feels like it, and I can't really get on board with it. I can't do it anymore - picking up a hundred pieces of shit off the floor to make a new bow attachment that gives me +3 damage or some shit, searching everywhere for a fox because I need 'fox skin' for a piece of kit but for some reason they only have a 5% chance of actually dropping that so that hour spent searching for them was a waste. It wasn't bad, but this was the game that made me realise I am totally over the 'hunting/crafting/bow and arrow game' that has been so prevalent this gen.
